William Gallas is a retired French footballer who has an estimated net worth of $15 million. Born William Eric Gallas on August 17, 1977 in Asnières-sur-Seine, France, he is a product of a French football academy at Clairefontaine. He spent most of his professional footballing career in France and England before he finished it in Australia with A-League club Perth Glory.

Gallas began his career in France with second division Caen and helped the team for a championship in 1996. A year later, he moved to Marseille and played four seasons. He made his debut at the UEFA Champions League in October 1999 and scored the lone goal (his first goal in a European competition) that defeated the European champions Manchester United at the Stade Vélodrome.

In 2001, William Gallas was signed by Chelsea. After five years, he moved to Arsenal and later signed with north London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in 2010. The former Arsenal captain joined Tottenham on a free transfer. His career in the English Premier League was considered to be successful, having earned two Premier League titles in 2005 and 2006 with the Gunners. However, he also had some controversies, both on and off the field. Spurs released him at the end of the 2012-13 season after his contract expired. He then moved to the Australian League for a one-year contract with Perth Glory. On October 16, 2014, he officially retired from professional football.
