They survived the plane crash and now, fans watch to see if they survive the wilderness.
Throughout Season 1, we begin to see those that survived as adults, jumping back and forth to their experience as teens and where their lives are now. The television show was a huge success with a star-studded cast of both youth and adult actors and left the audience waiting for Season 2, set to premier on March 24. What’s more, Season 3 has already been confirmed.

Tawny Cypress – $1.3 Million
Best known for her roles in Heroes and House of Cards, Cypress plays the role of Taissa in Yellowjackets with her counterpart Jasmin Savoy Brown. According to Net Worth and Salary, the actress maintains a low profile but has starred in numerous television crime dramas and brings the serious, focused character to light on the hit Showtime series.
Ella Purnell – $3 Million
The 26-year-old actress is one of the few child and teen stars in the series that has an established acting history. Purnell starred in Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children and Army of the Dead. She’s worked alongside the likes of Angelina Jolie in Maleficent and according to Celebrity Net Worth, won numerous awards in the Best Actress category at the Los Angeles Independent Film Festival for her role in WildLike. Purnell plays the role of Jackie, the pretty and popular student who is best friends with Shauna’s character.
Sammi Hanratty – $3 Million
Hanratty is another young character in the popular series, playing Christina Ricci’s young counterpart as the teen Misty. Hanratty has had an eclectic television career, appearing in The Suite Life of Zack and Cody and Salem. She’s also landed film roles in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man’s Chest, with Johnny Depp and The Santa Clause 3: The Escape Claus with Tim Allen.
Melanie Lynskey – $5 Million
Lynskey is a New Zealand-born actress and has a face you know you’ve seen somewhere but can’t quite place. Try Sweet Home Alabama alongside Reese Witherspoon, Coyote Ugly or a reoccurring role on the hit television comedy Two and a Half Men. The Don’t Look Up star plays Shauna Shipman in Yellowjackets, opposite her teenage counterpart, Sophie Nelisse. Shauna is best friends with Jackie (Ella Purnell) and has some secrets in her closet, both as a teen and as an adult.

Juliette Lewis – $5 Million
We’ve seen her in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation with comedian Chevy Chase as a child, National Born Killers, Old School and so much more throughout her career. Juliette Lewis has already taken on the persona of a tough woman, willing to take risks and she’s in her element as Natalie, opposite her teen character played by Sophie Thatcher. Natalie is rough around the edges, difficult to get along with, but resourceful.
Lauren Ambrose – $6 Million
The Six Feet Under star will arrive in Season 2 as the adult version of Van, opposite the teenage character played by Liv Hewson. Ambrose won two Screen Actors Guild awards for her role on Six Feet Under and has recently been seen on the Apple TV+ series Servant, executive produced by M. Night Shyamalan. In Season 1, fans didn’t know if Van made it out of the wilderness alive after being attacked by wolves, but spoiler alert, she appears as an adult in Season 2, thanks to Ambrose.
Jason Ritter (Guest Star) – $6 Million
With over 100 acting credits to his name, Ritter will star as a guest on Yellowjackets this season. His wife, Lynskey told E News the two had shared the screen numerous times in the past and it was “always fun” to work together. Ritter is known for his work on Joan of Arcadia, Parenthood and voiced the character of Ryder in 2019’s Frozen II.
Christina Ricci – $8 Million
Ricci is another childhood star appearing in The Addams Family and Casper to Monster with Charlize Theron and Distorted opposite John Cusack. Ricci plays the role of Misty opposite her teen character, played by Sammi Hanratty. Unique to her role in Yellowjackets, the character of Misty is hyper-vigilant, sneaky and a bit of a nerd, yet she’s also saved some lives, creating a bond with the girls who otherwise, wouldn’t have given her the time of day.
Elijah Wood (Guest Star) – $20 Million
The Lord of the Rings star will guest star in Season 2 as a citizen detective who challenges Misty (Christina Ricci). Wood’s character, Walter does not have a younger version of himself which means he can’t possibly understand the tragedy in which the women endured. One thing is for sure, if he’s teamed up with the mysterious and somewhat fragile Misty, anything could happen.
