Playboy magazine founder Hugh Hefner passed away on Wednesday at the age of 91. Famous former Playmate Pamela Anderson uploaded a bizarre yet tearful goodbye message to the magazine mogul. She uploaded a video of herself in black and white and wearing undergarments. Hefner died at the Playboy Mansion, Beverly Hills, California due to natural causes.

Pamela Anderson, 50, appeared on Playboy magazine’s front cover in October 1989 and became PlayMate of the month in February 1990. Ever since then, Anderson and Hefner have always maintained a close relationship.

Immediately after Playboy Enterprises announced Hefner’s death, Anderson uploaded a video on Instagram wearing only undergarments. In the video, the former Playmate is seen crying with makeup running down her cheeks. She said that what she is today is because of Hefner and that he has taught her everything important about freedom and respect. Outside of her family, he is the most important in her life.

Last time Anderson saw Hefner, he was very fragile and didn’t want Anderson to see him in that condition. His condition severely deteriorated before dying on Wednesday. Anderson thanked Hefner for making the world a freer and sexier place. She spoke about Hefner and her past conversations and looked very distressed. Hefner told her that Playboy is a magazine all about a girl like her. He always told her she was the “one”.

Hefner had started the magazine in 1953 just with $600 at the age of 27, married to his accountant with whom he had a child. In 2008, Hefner stepped down from his position of chief creative officer and handed over the company to his son, Cooper.

Meanwhile, a Vancouver-based writer, Meghan Murphy, founder of Feminist Current, called Hefner billionaire who profited from women’s subordination on Twitter.

Hugh Hefner is survived by his four children - Cooper, Christie, David, and Marston.
