The recent solar eclipse had plenty of people looking to the stars for inspiration on everything from love to finances — and, in fact, some astrologers claim that the sign under which you were born can actually predict your chances of becoming filthy rich.

The Small Business Blog and financial services site Cashfloat (via LiveMint.com) took a deep dive into the birthdates of the top 300 billionaires on the Forbes "Rich List," in order to determine which zodiac signs dominated the rankings of those with nine-figure fortunes.

Per LiveMint.com, Cashfloat conducted a survey to identify the richest zodiac signs:

Using available birthdate information for the top 300 billionaires on the Forbes Billionaires 2022 rich list, the survey highlighted the common zodiac sign that the world's wealthiest have a common [zodiac sign].

People familiar with astrology and the zodiac are likely aware that there are twelve signs, each associated with an element: air, water, earth, and fire.

Elements are an integral aspect of astrology, informing the underlying profiles for each sign, and each element is associated with three signs.

Thenightsky.com explains the relationship between signs and their corresponding elements as follows:

"The elements and star signs have an intricate relationship. In astrology, the elements — Air, Water, Earth, and Fire signs — serve as foundational principles that influence the characteristics and behaviors associated with the twelve zodiac signs. Libra (September 23rd — October 22nd)

Of all current billionaires in the world, twelve percent are Libras, according to this survey.

In fact, 32 of the world's wealthiest people are Libras, according to the Cashfloat survey.

According to the Times of India, Libras are characterized by "their articulate and sociable nature. They are smooth, polite, and charming individuals who effortlessly initiate conversations, making it easy for them to form connections ... additionally, they possess an aesthetic appeal and maintain a sense of order in their lives."

One of the main traits associated with Libras that could be construed as an element of their financial success is a tendency to rarely take "no" for an answer.

That's because Libras are known as exceptionally stubborn, with "an aversion to accepting rejection."

Pisces (February 19th — March 20th)

Symbol: Fish

Element: Water

Ruling planet: Neptune

Coming in right after Libras, the Pisces collective makes up eleven percent of the world’s billionaires.

Prominent, wealthy Pisceans include LVMH founder Bernard Arnault, Nike co-founder Phil Knight, and media mogul Rupert Murdoch.

Pisces are described as imaginative, creative, intuitive, and empathetic.

In fact, if you've ever known someone who describes themselves as an "empath," who can often "feel" things before they happen, or have remarkable foresight in making important decisions like closing business deals, they very well might be a Pisces.

Pisces are known to be quite flexible and can adapt to different situations:

"They don't worry too much about plans; they go with the flow and take things as they come."

Pisces are also associated with a drive to make the world a better place, and may be known for their philanthropy — once they reach billionaire status.

In third place is Taurus, and around ten percent of current billionaires were born under this earth sign.

Uber-wealthy people born under the sign of Taurus include Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg, inventor James Dyson, businessman David Koch, and German heiress Susanne Klatten.

Taurus is a sign traditionally thought of as maddeningly stubborn, hardworking, and dependable — all useful traits for those looking to get ahead.

The Times of India said of the sign:

"Taurus people put in so much energy and devotion to completing things that working in a team with them must be a joy,"

"They appear to have vast reservoirs of strength and endurance ... Before drawing any conclusions, they evaluate each stride and evaluate all of the advantages and disadvantages.

"They will rarely come to a decision before first doing a comprehensive investigation of the matter. [People born under the sign of Taurus] are known for their ability to apply reasoning in any circumstance, thus they are frequently sought out for counsel."
